So if you're new to me. Hi, my name is Emily. I'm a senior at Ohio Northern University. I like writing about my life so welcome!
Well to start, I was able to get an internship as a Communications intern for two health care companies in Washington, D.C. Leaving the "Akron bubble" was out of my comfort zone but totally worth it.
Wrapping up school was bittersweet. If you didn't keep up on my older blogs, I quarantined with my sister at Ohio Northern and I got into a routine of being there and having fun with all the roommates. I genuinely miss it sometimes but I'm very lucky to have one more year left with my best friends.
Before I left for Virginia, I caught up with friends and family and was extremely busy. I was traveling back and forth between Ada, Akron and Wooster, trying to be with everyone before I had to leave. I was able to get up to Lake Erie and soak up the sun with my grandma and cousins.
I spent the Fourth of July with my family in Virginia. My other weekends were spent hiking, boating, exploring and cooking with my boyfriend, Chris and his family. I really enjoyed spending my summer in Virginia and I was very thankful to have the opportunity to gain an amazing experience during a global pandemic.
My summer went very fast but I was really happy to come back to the village and start my senior year with some of my favorite people. I knew this year was going to be filled with different emotions but COVID-19 took a crazy twist on the year.
I glad you had a great summer and internship, but I'm happy to be back in Ada together!! Your boating trip on Lake Erie looked sooo fun. I can't wait to read more of your blogs!
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy you had the chance to venture out of your comfort zone and live away from home during your internship. I'm so excited to be back in the village too!
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy you had a great summer. It's crazy how fast summer went by, even with quarantining and all. I love seeing all of your pictures. I hope you have an awesome senior year.
